Not a single nomadic photographer can help but stop when he comes across a wedding.
I love taking wedding photos. When people are dressed up, they have a touching way of showing their teeth. Of course, doing so, they don’t really want to show how happy they are, but their clothes for this big occasion justify pretending to be. And they are happy to play their part well, that’s for sure. But no one is fooled, not even them. They are not necessarily happy with their lives, just happy to be there. They are sincere in a way. I don’t know if you can call that “being natural” in the photographic sense of the term. What do you think?
But weddings are much more than just celebrations. It’s everything that goes with them…
